speed dating..a boost or a bane?

i think that speed dating should be banned in all countries because it is a complete and utter waste of time, effort, and energy!
i mean c'mon..
are you that desperate?
and whats with the 3 minutes or 5 minutes per guy or girl?
we shouldnt time ourselves to get to know a person..

on thursday we had a little session of our own and i must tell you it was fun but at the same time horrible..
we didnt know what to say, which made us look stupid, then made us feel uncomfortable, and made us feel shy, so time ran out, and we had to move to the next person..
speed dating shouldnt even cross our minds to spice up our personal life..
are you really sure that you're gonna meet THE ONE during a speed dating session?
what are the chances of that?
PLUS, arent you putting yourself TOO out there and revealing stuff about yourself to a complete stranger not knowing what his or her real intentions are??

just the tought of telling a serial killer or a terrorist what your interests are scares the crap out of me..
we should always think twice before getting into anything so that we wont regret later on..
for the record, dont you wanna meet someone while jogging in the park, or in a fancy restaurant, or at a close friends party? OR in a crowded, smelly, unsafe hall filled with wierd-O's?
the choice is yours....
